Laura Romero Alba

Born in Malaga, Laura Romero Alba completed her studies as a violinist at the Conservatory of Malaga and at the International Academy 'Ivan Galamian', and moved to the United States, where she finished her postgraduate studies at Indiana University with Grigory Kalinovsky.

Throughout her artistic career she has learned with teachers of the level of Jesús Reina and Anna Margrethe Nilsen, complemented with master classes of famous pedagogues such as Pinchas Zukerman, Patinka Kopec, Alfredo García, Yuri Volguin and Alexander Sitkovetsky. As a concert soloist, her career includes concerts in different parts of Spain as well as in other cities abroad, such as Oslo (Norway) and Houston (Texas, USA).
In recent years, she has performed as a soloist with "Quivir Ensemble" and with the Galamian Academy Youth Orchestra in the city of Malaga. During her stay in the United States, she has been part of orchestras such as Columbus Indiana Philharmonic, Richmond Symphony Orchestra or Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra.

At the national stage, she has performed with orchestras such as the Orquesta Filarmónica de Málaga, the Joven Orquesta Nacional de España or the Orquesta de la Ciudad de Almería. She is currently a member of the Provincial Symphony Orchestra of Malaga and the Soho Symphony Orchestra 'Pop', with which he has participated in the musical 'Company'. In the field of chamber music, she currently belongs to the group 'Astrea Quintet', and has participated as violinist and violist in the past VII, VIII and IX International Chamber Music Festival Málaga Clásica.
